MY family. That's what I'm thankful for.....

This year's Thanksgiving was one of my favorites.  We had the best time.  When I'm with my family, I am so thankful that I have them, that they are just like me, that I feel at home with them.  I think I've always thought that everyone's family makes them feel like that.  That home is where you can be exactly who you are & not hide it.  I've just recently started to realize that I'm lucky. With the addition of facebook, I can get a peak into the lives of some of my friends. Can you believe that in some families drinking isnt allowed, that they have to hide who they really are & what they do from their families??? (GASP). What is that?!?! Seriously.  It really puts things into prespective for me.  I am blessed to be just who I am when I am with the people that are closest to me. In my family, we take shots @ thanksgiving & shoot innocent squirrels. We eat, drink, and be merry & we do it as one cohesive dysfunctional unit. And i just wouldnt have it any other way.....

Our friends Cody & Kathryn had a baby girl in July & she is just the cutest little thing.  We went over to their house for dinner last week to spend some quality time together.

Chico needs equal face time on the blog obviously, so here he is getting his bath yesterday.  He loves his baths, mostly because he loves anything where 100% of your attention is focused on him.....

Oh, ok. You can keep your tail.....

Just an update on Ace's tail.....he still has it.  After feeling particularly guilty about the idea of chopping it off & some advice from Doreen, we decided that we'd try another route.  Dr. Booker prescribed him some antibiotic & prednisone to aid the healing & help the itch, while we used neosporin, bandages, & a cone to complete his treatment.  He is almost 100% healed now, but we are still making him wear the cone.  I think it brings out his eyes.....well, maybe not.

Saturday was Chris & Kelly's first swim meet & they won!! Kelly smoked everyone in all her individual heats & Chris made his swim uniform look bad@ss. See below.

Before we hit the swim meet Saturday afternoon, Ryan & I decided to take a stroll around uptown & have lunch at the epicenter.  It was a beautiful day in the Queen City.
